Boost School and Campus Security

The pandemic has had an impact on our country’s academic institutions, and administrators are juggling professor, student, and family needs with state and federal regulations. The new $81 billion education rescue plan is assisting our nation’s schools in resuming operations while taking into account the need for long-term security and health precautions on campus.

Wearing masks, erecting plexiglass barriers, and instituting social separation are just a few of the simpler and less expensive protections that have already been put in place by the majority of institutions that are either in full or partial sessions. All schools will be able to use this new COVID relief cash to make the necessary infrastructure modifications that will allow for schools to remain open in 2022.

By improving their HVAC systems, several schools have gained an early start on the process of improving air quality (indoor and outdoor). Some people are installing CO2 sensors and improving ventilation. Additionally at the top of the list are staffing, lighting, and security. Video surveillance – Fewer lawbreakers as a result of surveillance cameras and intelligent video technologies (smart thermal cameras and video analytics) that catch everything. Your cameras can demonstrate that a student was sent home, for instance, if they had a high temperature. An on-site security officer can keep their eyes and feet on the ground thanks to integrated security, which can go beyond simple video monitoring.

Security officers can be used alone or in conjunction with the security technology mentioned above to reassure students who are reluctant to return and serve as extra staff to help collect temperatures and distribute masks.

Access Control – If you want to track who comes and goes while also traveling without being touched, access control may be the right option for you.
